It has been a while! With the kids back in school and me now getting at least 2 hours per day to myself I figured it was time finally to get to it and start posting again. The summer is officially over which means back to the routine. Which I like, but I am definitely missing our lazy summer days.
My main focus around the house has been streamlining my cleaning routine. I found I was overloading the first 2 days of the week trying to get everything done. But, then I lose track of the other routines I have in my life that I also need to maintain. (Like, working out and paying attention to my family.)
I do this cleaning routine every other week. And the following week I have what is called “a non-cleaning week” but does in fact still include cleaning. So, don’t get too excited. After trying many different combinations I found this is the one that works best for me. I can get a couple things checked off my cleaning list per day without being stressed about it. Laundry isn’t sitting around piled high to the sky. Groceries are shopping for in a timely fashion. My spin bike isn’t being neglected. I can stop and play Barbie’s if I am invited (As long as I follow the story line I’m given of course.) And, by the end of the week its all done!
Take a look over on my Instagram to see an overview of what a cleaning week looks like for me. And I will be sharing more of my cleaning and organizing routines (and checklists of course) that help me maintain my household in the coming days!
