Ok so you know me. It’s easy crafts only around here. I’m still cleaning glitter off my couch from three days ago when my daughter wore a new Little Mermaid dress that leaks glitter literally everywhere. I’m not looking to invite any more glitter (or slime or kinetic sand for that matter) into my house.
So here is a super easy Valentine’s Day craft for your preschooler to do when you have used up all of your patience and glue gun glue on your older kids 100th day of school project.
All you need is red, black, and white poster board. (Because it was left over from the 100th day of school project.) Construction paper would also be fine.
Heart Puppy: A How To:
- Cut out a heart using the red paper
- Then cut out a slightly smaller heart using the black paper
- Next cut out an even smaller black heart
- Cut out two white circles and two smaller black circles
- Cut the black heart in half
- Then draw an arrow on the bottom center of the red heart
- Assemble
- Boom. Heart Puppy!
Glue it all together, like so:
The best part is though when your kid goes to put it together it will come out more like this:
He looks like he has seen some things…but it’s still super cute!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
