It’s time for spring cleaning! Time to deep clean, organize, and declutter. I have a new template for you to use and you can download it here!
I like using this printable because you can use it two ways. You can list out room by room what you need to do. This is my preferred method because I like to complete a full room before moving on to the next. But, if you like to do similar tasks all in one day (windows, dusting, organizing, etc.) You can use each square as a daily to do list to get all your spring cleaning goals completed.
I started last night with my most daunting task. The play room. Surprisingly, since we started using the baskets for the book cases, and everything has an assigned home, it wasn’t as bad as previous deep cleans. Did I still find boogers stuck in weird places? Yeah. Did I find a whole bunch of Lego Duplo people stuck in a toy garbage truck like a scene from Law and Order? Also yes. But, the organization aspect of it took a lot less time so I consider it a win.
Finding organization tools and methods that work for you and your space makes everything easier. The true test to see if an organization method is working for you is when you go to do a deep clean. When your doing your regular weekly clean ups you (like me) might be rushing to get everything away. Or you have little helpers that are trying their best to put things back properly. Things don’t always get put back exactly how they are meant to. But, when you go to do a deep clean and you can still see the organization method in place, even if its a little messy you know it’s working.
Before After
It also saves you a lot of time when you just need to pull everything out, clean the shelves, clean the bins, and put everything back and not have to think of a new way to organize.
Now that I have one whole room done and I am feeling motivated and ready to take on the rest of the house! I planned out the rest of my week to try and get some more rooms done without totally overloading myself so, let’s see how this goes.
