Our homeschool theme for next week is the 5 senses. So we will be seeing, smelling, tasting, hearing and touching all over this place next week! You can download the worksheets for this week at the bottom of the page.
One thing I knew I wanted to incorporate this week is a scavenger hunt. If we call anything a scavenger hunt or a challenge my kids are 100 percent more likely to be excited about it. We will probably do the scavenger hunts while we take the dog for a walk. It should keep the kids entertained for a bit and keep them from yelling at people passing by. And then I won’t have to avoid taking the dog for a walk because they yell things like; “HEY LADY IS THAT A DOG OR A BABY IN THERE?”
There is also a taste and smell test worksheet in the bundle that should be super fun to do. I also found some great resources for this week (also for free) on teacherspayteachers.com. Here is the link to a free 5 senses sorting activity:
We have also started new workbooks for our everyday work (letters, numbers, etc.). All of these are great so far! They are all from Dollar Tree and I honestly can’t recommend them enough. I stock up on new ones every time I go. Then when I am planning out my sons work for the week I just post-it what pages he is doing for each day.
Have a great weekend!
