While doing my homeschool research, aka watching YouTube videos of other Mom’s homeschool routines, I saw that a lot of people were creating and using busy binders. I thought these were such a great idea I decided to make my own binders for the kids.
We typically use these binders 3 to 4 days a week. They are a great way to start our homeschool morning routine. We use these binders to go over a little bit of everything. For example, Vincent’s focuses on writing his full name, phone number, the days of the week, and months of the year. There are also some fun counting, and shape recognition worksheets too.
Rose’s binder focuses on shape and color recognition for now. We also just started working on tracing shapes. Since she is only 2, she doesn’t always want to participate but, I wanted to be ready if she does!
I laminated each worksheet so that they could be easily wiped down and reused each day. I also, used Velcro stickies for some of the worksheets which helped keep all the pieces together and also makes it more of a fun activity for the kids.
As we continue our homeschool year I will be adding to the binder. For now though I wanted to share the printables I have available for you to use! These are some of my kids favorite activities to do and I hope your kids like them too!
