Homeschool Week 34: The United States Of America

This week our theme was all about America! With Memorial Day right around the corner I wanted to teach them a little more about the meaning behind the holiday. (And that it’s not just the day the cover usually comes off the pool.) I also found some cute decorations at Dollar Tree which, always makes it more fun!

We had some great book picks for this week! My kids loved Clifford Sees America and The Scrambled States of America.

We also spent a lot of time doing this United States Puzzle! It was only $12! And it kept them busy for a while which is always nice. It’s quickly becoming their new favorite puzzle.

Here is the link to the puzzle:

I also found some great worksheets for this week. There was patriotic matching and counting worksheets, a memorial day BBQ graph, and writing and drawing prompts. We also worked on some emergent reader booklets that were really awesome.
