It feels like it was just yesterday that I was doing the Cirque de Soleil version of trying to giving birth followed by a emergency C-section and an apology from my Doctor. Turns out she was wrong and I wasn’t just cramming my face full of food everyday like she thought ( I mean I did happy cry one time about Burger King so she wasn’t totally off base.) and that there was a legit 9 lb. baby in there.
Also….. just a tip, If your planning on having a baby, just ask your partner how big they were at birth before you’re 3 months pregnant and find out your husband was 10 lbs. at birth.
Now that baby is turning 5 and calls me “bro”. He chose Toy Story as his birthday theme. Which, lucky for me, is the same as last year and I had saved most of the decorations. Wooh!
We have our standard practice birthday traditions. Balloons, getting to open presents right away in the morning, breakfast of choice, dinner of choice etc.
My son chose cinnamon buns for breakfast, cheeseburgers for dinner, and chocolate cupcakes for dessert.
This was definitely the most laid back birthday’s he has had. No party or anything this years because of Covid. Which was kind of a bummer, but he still had a great day anyway.
These sheet pan cheeseburgers are so easy to make and are always a huge hit at my house. Here is how to make them;
What kind of birthday traditions does your family have? I would love to hear them!
