We surprised the kids with a trip to Disney World! This trip was a big deal for us. It was two years in the making! (We were originally supposed to go in 2021.) This trip was everything I had hoped it would be and more.
We stayed at The Caribbean beach resort which is a Moderate tier Resort. At Caribbean Beach Resort you have the Skyliner as a bonus transportation option for Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Our room even had a view of the Epcot fireworks! The room was very close to the Riviera resort which gave us more options for food.
We were there for a whole 10 days so we did all the things! Visited all four parks, did basically all the rides, and ate all the mickey pretzels. The kids favorite rides were Minnie and Mickeys Runaway Railroad, Slinky Dog, Millennium Falcon, and Peter Pan.
Since this trip was booked so far in advance I had a lot of time to research and plan. Which is definitely needed when going to Disney World. As much as I love a sitting on the beach relaxing vacation, we thrive in a theme park. My husband jokes that we (as a family) were built for this type of vacation. We went park open to close most days. We were a well oiled machine. The kids did great waiting on lines, and I only freaked out the for first 6 days about the kids rubbing their entire bodies all over everything all the time. (Why is this a thing that kids do!?)
Not to toot my own horn but, part of the reason our vacation went so smoothly was because of the planning we did ahead of time. I have the excel sheets to prove it!
You don’t have to go this hard to have a great Disney Vacation. ( If you want to though just let me know and I’ll send you my spreadsheets and teach you more of my ways.) Having a daily plan of what time you want to leave for the park, rides you want to do, and where you want to eat (Mobile Order!) sets you up for a successful day.
I also kept our clothes and park bag as organized as possible. I kept our clothes organized by day. I would repack the park bag as soon as we got back to the resort to get it ready for the next day. This definitely helped cut down on running around looking for things early in the morning. And stops your husband from wearing a Star Wars shirt on what is clearly a Toy Story day.

My next post will cover some of the tricks and tips I use to save money. Lets face it Disney is the most magical but also most expensive place on earth. And saving where you can helps!
